I have had an abiding passion for anything to do with horses since I was very young and started riding at the age of 3. I currently own two horses, a Connemara named Obi and a warmblood named Reggie, on which I compete at dressage and show jumping events.

The more challenging horses have always been a source of great enjoyment for me and this led me to consider the physical side of their problems.

Having qualified with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton, I then went on to complete a post graduate diploma in Animal Physiotherapy at The College of Animal Physiotherapy. I specialise in the assessment and treatment of both horses and riders, both individually and combined. This harmonises performance and optimises the effect of physiotherapy treatment.

I was fortunate enough to assist the physiotherapists within Team GB prior to the Olympics. Not only did this offer an insight into the world of elite competitive riding, it also emphasised the importance of the riders’ physical well-being.

It is important to keep abreast of the many new Physiotherapy techniques and ideas that are being developed. These can then be adapted for use with horse and rider. I completed a Kinesio Taping course in June 2014 and completed my rider Pilates course in October 2014.

I am venturing into the world of canine physio very soon. My passion for animals includes dogs. Their wellbeing and biomechanics is fascinating and I have decided to expand my practice to include dog physio.
